Description

Scrap leather is a fantastic way to obtain a variety of sizes, colors, and textures. If you have a project that does not require a large amount of leather and are okay with the possibility of having multiple colors, then this is perfect for you!

Scrap is priced per lb and the amount of pieces in each lb vary on sizes.

  • Colors: The colors are earth tones - mainly shades of brown with occasional tan, black, olive, slate blue, and burnt orange colors (the pictures are a good representation of the colors). Colors are a mix - you will not get every color pictured nor are you assured to get all of one color.
  • Thickness: 3-5 ounces
  • Sizes: 2-3 square feet (some smaller / some larger, but none are very small)
  • Temper: Pliable, mainly smooth textures

Please note: If you only get one pound, you will get a 1-3 pieces but to get several colors its best to buy 2 pounds or more. Because the scrap we get is always changing it is very difficult to insure the sizes of the pieces at any given time. We do our very best to send usable pieces. You will get mostly tan colors.

Textures & Blemishes

  • Textures: This scrap may include several different textures with the most common being smooth followed by a handful having pebble grain.

  • Blemishes: Pieces may have scars, light spots, or small indents. These can either be desirable as they add to oil tanned aesthetic or displeasing to others who wish to have a clean piece.
