GrowPoles are designed to mimic natural rain forest environments.
The enclosed back of the pole retains moisture and slowly releases it to the plant. Keeping the roots in a high humidity environment, reminiscent of cloud forests where most of these plants originate.
GrowPoles are tested extensively
GrowPoles are on its 3rd iteration. Each iteration are tested extensively for strength and field tested with plants before being released on the market. We ensure that our products works before releasing each iteration.
Apart from functional tests, THICCLY GrowPoles are tested extensively in the lab. Every GrowPole from THICCLY is tested to be free from 219 toxic substances according to RoHs and CE standards. These tests are conducted on a composition level, transfer, leaching and abrasion level. Ensuring that you do not introduce toxins into your household.
GrowPoles are designed for the environment from the ground up
- Reduction of material use and waste
GrowPoles replace PVC core or wood core moss poles. PVC poorly recycled and releases toxic chlorine gas when it breaks down. Wood core poles are not durable, subject to mildew and rot over time. THICCLYs aerospace inspired monocoque design uses a fraction of the material required to achieve structural strength over our competitors, while being extremely durable. GrowPoles are also designed not to require any zipties - minimizing production of small plastic waste over time.
- Recycling and waste control
Each GrowPole is made to PET plastic bottle standards. Which means it can easily be recycled at its end of life with municipal recycling facilities. At THICCLY, we go the extra mile - ensuring that all plastic cutouts are recycled or disposed of at the factory. That means we dont waste energy shipping rubbish across the world, while minimizing release of plastic waste which pollutes the environment and harms wildlife.
