PUSH/PULL
Pusher Fans
The push fan is installed on the grille side (front) of the radiator core, pushing air through the radiator core. Fresh air enters through the grille and is then pushed through the radiator core before being discharged from the back of the radiator. Push fans are usually used in areas with limited space for push fans of suitable size.
Puller Fans
The puller fan is installed on the engine side (back) of the radiator core and draws in air through the radiator core. Fresh airflow is pulled through the grille, then pulled through the core, and then discharged from the back of the radiator. When the space between the front of the engine and the rear of the radiator core is not limited, a traction fan is the ideal and most common way to install a fan.
