Metal oxide film resistors have a 5% tolerance. The temperature coefficient is about -67 degrees fahrenheit ~ 150 degrees Celsius.
The resistive material of metal oxide resistors is tin oxide, which is contaminated with oxides to increase resistivity. Metal oxide resistors can withstand higher temperatures than metal or carbon film resistors.
