The connectors are made of heavy duty aluminum that resist rust. The hose takes waste water from the pool and filter, the water goes backwards through the filter in order to successfully backwash the filter. This hose is engineered to fit over a standard 1.5” standard adapter or 1" or less schedule 40/80 PVC pipe and can easily connect to the pump. When done the backwash hose it can be rolled up for storage.
