Extremus Photochromic Lens adopt gentle transmission tech which allows Visible Light Transmission to be 50% off within 80S in the non-UV condition
The photochromic tint effect will vary based on the lens color and the amount of sun exposure.
Photochromic Pink Lens : VLT (23.35% - 52.86%) , bright sunny to cloudy
Photochromic Clear Lens : VLT (30.22% - 87.68%), medium light to dark
Photochromic Light Gray Lens: VLT (15.61% - 42.21%), bright sunny to medium light
All Extremus lenses meet these international standards:
US lens standard: ANSI Z80.3:2018
EU lens standard: EN ISO 12312-1:2013(A1:2015)
AU lens standard: AS/NZS 1067.1:2016
International standard test of photochromic lenses: place the lenses under UV-rays (sunlight) for 25 seconds, then remove the lenses from UV lighting, and after 85 seconds, the lens color will fade by 50%. This 50% color fade is an internationally recognized photochromic test standard value.
