Read and write speeds of under 500 Mb/s, when connected to usb 3.0 port or install SATA protocol SSD.
Tool-Free:
USB C to M.2 NVMe SATA Enclosure tool-free design allows the quick installation of an M.2 NVMe or M.2 SATA SSD in just a couple of seconds.
Slide and open the aluminum cover following the direction of arrow , then insert the SSD and secure with the notched, rubber SSD retention peg, then reinstall the cover.
Overheating Protection :
If your SSD overheating when transfer large of data, enclosure will run the overheating protection auto and goes into read-only mode or stop the transfer or down the speed of transfer data. Avoiding your SSD damage due to overheating and improving the life of your SSD.

Sharing a customer review regarding how to install:
" It comes with two notched rubber pegs to secure the NVME drive. You only need one, and you need to move it to the correct position for the size of your SSD. By default the pins are in the position for shorter drives. You need to remove both pegs, set one of them aside, and put the other in the semi-circular cutout on the SSD. When you insert the SSD, the peg will line up nicely with one of the holes in the tray. "
