Description

The Colder inline coupler is made of acetal copolymer plastic and has coupler and tube connectors. This shutoff coupler connects tubes or pipes going in the same direction to extend a straight run. This coupler connects to tubing on one end and has a coupler on the other. Its ferruleless polytube fitting (PTF) termination does not require ferrules to achieve a secure connection, allowing re-use of the fitting. It has a thumb-latch design for one-handed connection and disconnection. This fitting is made of acetal copolymer plastic, which has low moisture absorption, high tensile and flexural strength, and is hard and fatigue resistant. The working pressure for this fitting is up to 120 pounds per square inch (psi). The operating temperatures range from -40 to 180 degrees F.

Pipe and tube fittings are components used for connecting, terminating, controlling flow, and changing the direction of piping in many different industries. Threaded fittings are used to connect to threaded pipes in a piping system. The rotation of external male, helical threads to internal, female threads creates the connection in a threaded piping system. When purchasing fittings, consider the application, as this will affect material type, shape, size, and required durability. Fittings are available threaded or unthreaded, in many shapes, styles, sizes, and schedules (pipe wall thickness).

Colder Products Company manufactures quick-connect couplings, fittings, and connectors for plastic tubing. The company, founded in 1978, is headquartered in St. Paul, MN.
