Description

This NSi Industries IPCS7501 Easy-Tap insulation-piercing connector is suitable for tapping electrical lines in copper-to-copper, copper-to-aluminum, and aluminum-to-aluminum solid or stranded wire applications. It can be used on main lines from 750 MCM (thousand circular mils) to American Wire Gauge (AWG) 3/0 with tap lines from #10 to #14 AWG. It is fully insulated and can be used on energized conductors as long as the tap line is not under load. Double shear-head bolts ensure that the proper amount of torque is applied during installation. This connector is not recommended for use with extra-flexible cables, is not approved for submersible applications, and cannot be used with bare wire or as a splice. It is rated for 600V and 90 degrees C and meets American National Standards Institute (ANSI) C119.4 requirements and is Underwriters Laboratories (UL) 486B Listed. This insulation-piercing connector is suitable for a wide range of electrical line tapping applications with appropriately sized conductors.
