Colorado Leather Balm: Extra Moisturizing Formula. This leather conditioner is very similar to Colorado Leather Balms Original Formula, with one difference: it contains a higher ratio of lanolin to tallow. While the Original Formula is a good fit for leathers that have been well maintained or are newer, the Extra Moisturizing Formula works best for extremely dry and/or old leather. A little oil goes a long way with leather, but when you are dealing with very old or dried out leather, a bit more oil does help. The Extra Moisturizing Formula comes in a pleasant Orange/Vanilla scent, and in an 8oz sized tin. Tallow is still often used in the tanning process called "fat liquoring," so Colorado Leather Balm really is replenishing the fats lost in tanning and also over time as your leather dries out. Tallow is also molecularly very similar to our own skins moisturizers, so its not only healthy but excellent for use on skin, as well as safe around pets and children. Use Colorado Leather Balm on boots and shoes, saddlery and tack, handbags, belts, holsters, leather clothing or older, dry leather luggage, furniture or leather car upholstery.
