Precautions:
1. Before measurement, the measuring surface of the gauge and the surface to be measured of the part should be wiped clean, so as not to affect the measurement accuracy due to the presence of dirt. It is wrong to use precision measuring tools such as vernier calipers, dial scales and dial indicators to measure forging and casting blanks, or surfaces with abrasives (such as emery, etc.), which will easily cause the measuring surface to wear quickly and lose accuracy.
2. The gauge is a measuring tool and must not be used as a substitute for other tools. For example, it is wrong to use a vernier caliper to draw a line, use a centimeter as a small hammer, use a steel ruler as a screwdriver, and use a steel ruler to clean up chips, etc. Yes, it is also wrong to use the gauge as a toy, such as holding the centimeter in your hand and waving it or shaking it at will, and it is easy to make the gauge lose its accuracy.
3. During the use of the gauge, do not stack it with tools, knives such as files, hammers, turning knives and drills to avoid bumping the gauge. Do not put it on the machine tool casually, otherwise the gauge will fall off and be damaged due to the vibration of the machine tool. In particular, vernier calipers, etc., should be placed flat in a special box to avoid deformation of the ruler body.
