How to choose violin size
1. You should know the size of the violin. There are 8 different sizes of violin: 4/4 (also called full size), 3/4, 1/2, 1/4, 1/8, 1/10, 1/16 and 1/32. 4/4 Number is the largest, and number 1/32 is the smallest.
2. Measure the violin size that best suits you. You need to know the length between your neck and the palm of your left hand. The size of the violin determined by the neck/middle palm method will be the largest size the student should use.
