The Leather Paddle Strop is used for the final stage of sharpening and to maintain a sharp edge. The function is to polish the edge and work off any burr left behind by sharpening stones.
The wood base is made from American ash with a contoured handle for a secure grip. its firm and smooth. The handle of the leather strop sharpener is suitable for both professional and beginner woodcarvers.
1 OZ. White Compound (Coarse: Cut and Polish): This one is for removing deep scratches from soft metals like aluminum, gold, silver, brass and copper. (The pocket leather strop block not include the white compound!!!)

How to use it?
Step 1. Apply the compounds on the surface of the leather a few times with light pressure and they will attach to the leather.
Step 2. Condition the leather with a few drops of oil to make the compound cover the entire leather surface.
Step 3. You can set the angle around 15-30 degrees of the blade raising the spine. Place the blade on the leather. With light pressure push the blade up towards the top of the strop. Turn the blade over and do the same on the other side.
Step 4. After repeating a few times, you will get the sharpest edge possible on knives.
