●When LAMONS BLUE PTFE coated fasteners are used, galling and seizing become problems of the past.
●Due to the absence of nut locking oxides after extensive exposure to corrosive environments, fasteners coated with our process do not need to be removed by torching, cutting or nut splitting; Saving valuable resources and time.
●The easy on/easy off properties exhibited by these fasteners provide safe removal with wrenches. Lower your plant maintenance cost and increase safety by using Lamons BLUE PTFE coated fasteners supplied by Sterling Seal & Supply.
●Due to the extreme resistance to corrosion that these coatings offer, we are starting to see more jobs that are requiring blue PTFE B-7 studs.
●Industries: Personal Projects, Power Generation, Automotive, Construction, Cosmetics, Electronics, Healthcare, Epoxy Anchors, Extenders, Anchor Bolts, Pipe Flange Bolts, Double Arming Bolts, Swing Sets, and much more....

Description

Sterling Seal & Supply proudly offers Lamons fasteners. A message from the manufacturer is as follows. Lamons Fastener Division (formerly South Texas Bolt & Fitting) is an ISO 9001:2015 manufacturer of industrial bolting providing a wide range of services to the oilfield and industrial markets. We maintain the highest standards of quality and service by combining experience and the latest manufacturing technology available. Lamons stocks a full line of all thread studs and nuts in various finishes, plain finish, cadmium plated, Teflon coated, as well as in a wide range of materials, B7, B7M, B8, B8M, B16, L7, L7M etc. We are known in our industry as the RUSH ORDER SPECIALISTS. General Applications for Medium-Strength Threaded Rod, Grade B7 Black-Oxide Steel contained in this listing are; All thread rods are used from time to time in virtually any construction fastening application. They are used with a nut on each end and for fastening wood, steel, and other types of construction materials. They are often substituted for a hex bolt or other type of bolt with a forged head. Industries: Personal Projects, Power Generation, Automotive, Construction, Cosmetics, Electronics, Healthcare, Epoxy Anchors, Extenders, Anchor Bolts, Pipe Flange Bolts, Double Arming Bolts. What is b7 threaded rod? B7 studs have very high tensile strength and are generally used in high pressure & temperature environment like petroleum or chemical industry for flanges. It is generally coupled with GRADE 2H NUTS. ... Note: B7 studs are very similar to B16Stud Bolts ASTM 193 with the absence of Vanadium. B7 Threaded Rod. These rods are made from a Chromium Molybdenum alloy steel and are heat treated to a tensile strength of 125,000 psi minimum and a 105,000 psi yield strength. They are used for bolting flanges, valves, and other maintenance applications where strength is important. LAMONS BLUE PTFE COATING ADVANTAGE! BLUE PTFE possesses a low coefficient of friction which reduces torque requirements. When BLUE PTFE coated fasteners are used, galling and seizing become problems of the past. Due to the absence of nut locking oxides after extensive exposure to corrosive environments, fasteners coated with our process do not need to be removed by torching, cutting or nut splitting. The easy on/easy off properties exhibited by these fasteners provide safe removal with wrenches. Lower your plant maintenance cost and increase safety by using Lamons BLUE PTFE coated fasteners supplied by Sterling Seal & Supply. WHY USE BLUE PTFE COATING OVER OTHER FINISHES? Fluoropolymer metal coatings advantages include extreme durability and low wear. However, during assembly of fasteners in the field, the coating can sometimes be damaged. With most other fluoropolymer coatings, this results in exposed bare metal that quickly begins to show corrosion and causes the coating to fail. Our metallic base coat ensures superior corrosion resistance and continues to provide protection even under the harshest conditions. Lamons ensures the highest quality control of all orders, big or small. Each order fastener is checked for cure, thickness, adhesion and overall coverage. Concentrations and temperatures of all solutions and chemicals used in the process are strictly controlled and written records are maintained. Our advanced, computer controlled, automated equipment keeps the coating thickness precise and extremely uniform. Great care is taken during the process so that fasteners with a specified minimum hardness of Rockwell C32 or higher are not exposed to the absorption and entrapment of hydrogen which can cause hydrogen embrittlement failure. Why are studs stronger than bolts? Studs provide the ability to obtain much more accurate torque values because the studs dont twist during tightening as do bolts. Because the studs remain stationary during nut tightening, the studs stretch in one axis alone, providing much more even and accurate clamping forces. 2H Heavy Hex (2H HH) nuts are a common high strength nut used with many different stud grades, including A193 Grade B7, A325, A490, F1554 Grade 105 and others. Heavy hex nuts are slightly larger and thicker than standard (finished) hex nuts. There are numerous grades and the heavy pattern is typically used for large diameter and high strength bolts. This extra-wide, extra-thick hex nut features increased bearing surface and thread engagement for improved hold. Use Lamons manufactured stud and 2H HH nuts supplied by Sterling Seal and Supply for your fastener applications.
