There is no standard watering amount that is suitable for all new trees. One commonly used formula suggests 10 gallons of water per week for every 1 inch of tree caliper.Most new plantings require a watering schedule of 1-2 times per week, or as needed. You can adjust the fill schedule according to local weather conditions, soil types,tree types,etc- especially during periods of drought.
Tips for using tree bags: wrap the tree watering bag around a tree and tear the two sides together. To fill, you need to fill it about 1/4 and then pick up the bag to ensure the bottom is full. If the water in the tree irrigation system stops running out, check the drainage holes on the bottom to determine if the floor is folded or if there is dirt or other residue in the bag, then clean it.
