Before you purchase this docking station, you need to know
Some FAQ about the 12 IN 1 USB C Dual Monitor HDMI Docking Station !!!
Reset the docking. (Usually resetting the docking could solve many unexpected problem)
(1. Disconnect docking station from host machine and power adapter. (2. Leave unplugged for 1 minute for power to dissipate. (3. Connect docking station initially into power only and confirm indicator light is on. (4. If the above steps do not change the behavior, rebooting the host system may restore functionality
(1. Pls make sure the type-c port of your pc support video output.Or the docking could not work as expected.(Note:The thunderbolt 3/4 port should support video output, if you are not sure, pls be be free to E-mail to us). (2. Some monitors might require to select the source input manually. If possible,pls select the correct source input. (3. Pls try to change the video cable to check if this could help. (4. Try to upgrade the bios,gpu driver and the thunderbolt 3 driver if possible.
No,such adapter could not help.It is a hardware limitation of the laptop. To make the docking work as expected,the requirement below must be met:
(1. There should be type-c port. (2. The type-c port should support video output (To make the video port of the docking work as expected) and charging (To make the charging function work as expected)
(1. Upgrade the bios , graphics driver and thunderbolt 3 driver or firmware if possible.You could find these driver at the website of the pc manufacturer. (2. Try to change the video cable. (3. Try to connect the monitor to the laptop directly and check if this same thing happen. If this still could not help,pls contact our support team
Actually to get 4k@60hz,the requirement below should be met:
(1. The type-c port of the host should support dp1.4.
(2. Only single monitor is connected to the dp or hdmi 1 port.
(3. For gpu of the intel 11 processor,the device could not support 4k@60hz even the type-c port support dp1.4
It is normal that the docking will get hot in usage,usually it will not affect the usage.
(1. Pls make sure the type-c port of your laptop support charging.(Not all type-c port support charging)
(2. Upgrade the bios and thunderbolt 3 driver or firmware if possible.You could find these driver at the website of the pc manufacturer.
(3. The docking should use about 13w from the power adapter for usb peripherals even there is no usb peripherals connected.That might cause that there is no enough power to charge the host.Pls try to use a power adapter with more wattage to check if this could help.
(1. Pls try to reset the docking by steps in FAQ 1.
(2. Pls try to download and install the driver from our website.
(3. Pls change another Ethernet cable.
