IMPORTANT

The dock can operate solely on the USB-C connection to the MacBook without an external power adapter, however if you experience:

  1. Screen flickering (Please make sure your HDMI is connected tightly, a loose connection will still extend your display but any movements to the wire can cause temporary flickering)
  2. Port disconnects
  3. External monitors not waking up after computer resumes from sleep

It means the connected peripherals are consuming more power than what the USB-C connection alone provides to the dock, in this case, please plug your MacBooks power adapter into the docks Power Delivery port. If your laptop does not come with a compatible Type-C charger, a Type-C mobile phone charger will work too.

Frequently Asked Questions

  1. Why is my 2nd HDMI monitor not working?
    1. MacBook Pros with M1 Pro & M1 Max processors require Mac OS version 12+ to support dual external displays in extended mode, prior OS versions will only support 1 external display. MacBook Pros and MacBook Airs with M1 processors will only support 1 external display. Intel MacBooks with 2 USB-C/Thunderbolt ports can support 2 external monitors.
