As with all Metal Halide bulbs, oils from your hands may create hot spots that can cause damage. Hold bulb glass with cardboard bulb sleeve, latex glove, or a clean towel. It is recommended that you replace this or any other Metal Halide Bulb once every 9-12 months depending on ballast and bulb intensity. This will keep the ecosystem vibrant and healthy.Care:Salt and dust can hamper the efficiency of your bulb, occasional cleaning is recommended. For cleaning, allow bulb to cool thoroughly, and then remove from socket using a cloth or paper towel. Hold metal end, and then wipe glass and metal with alcohol applied with a paper towel. Allow bulb to dry before operating.
