How much fire glass will you need? To calculate the amount of fire pit glass needed to fill a circular fire pit, use the following equation:

Diameter X Diameter X Depth, divided by 24 = pounds of fire glass needed. We recommend a minimum 2” of fire glass depth for most installations. For example, a 25" diameter fire pit at the recommended 2” of fire glass depth: 25 X 25 X 2, divided by 24 = 52 lbs.

How much fire glass will you need? To calculate the amount of fire pit glass needed to fill a square or rectangular fire pit, use the following equation:

Width X Length X Depth, divided by 19 = pounds of fire glass needed. We recommend a minimum 2” of fire glass depth for most installations. For example, a 48" X 14" fire pit at the recommended 2” of fire glass depth: 48 X 14 X 2, divided by 19 = 70 lbs.
