●ESTERIFIED DERIVATE of coconut oil fatty acids ? SCI not only provides a consumer-perceivable smooth and moisturizing feeling but also is actually one of the mildest surfactants for skin. Numerous studies have shown the high tolerance of skin for SCI ? Allows to formulate shampoos containing butters or oils for a nourishing and conditioning effect, without losing the washing and foaming power and without weighing down the hair.
●SCI used in combination with Sodium Coco Sulfate (SCS) to formulate solid shampoos that are soft and well tolerated by the scalp and hair, while providing a rich and creamy lather. It also makes it possible to prepare shower bars ? As SCI Solid Surfactant has limited solubility in water it may recrystallise if used in a liquid shampoo. ? SCI Solid Surfactant performs well in hard water areas and is biodegradable.

Manufacturing Process:

  1. Heat up phase A to 85°C/185°F
  2. Mix phase B until homogeneous.
  3. Add phase C to B while stirring.
  4. Add phase D one by one to phase B+C
  5. Add phase B/C/D to phase A and heat up to 85°C/185°F
  6. Homogenize at 85°C/185°F
  7. Fill in silicone mold and cool down to RT.

About:

Solid Shampoo is made of an alternative surfactant combination: SCI Powder & COCO GLUCOSIDE, a mild surfactant, carbon neutral which improves foaming and skin compatibility. In addition, a good ingredients balance is required to formulate solid shampoo, between stability in the pack & in the bathroom and the deposition ability. CETEARYL ALCOHOL contributes to the consistency and deposition while HYDROGENATED VEGETABLE OIL provides the hardness and temperature stability. A fine & delicate foam easy to rinse, it leaves the hair & the scalp mildly cleaned!
