●SURLYN SLICK -> Surlyn plastic material is the slick material used on pretty much every high-quality bodyboard on the market today. Surlyn allows for the most flexibility the board can offer while still maintaining its stiffness qualities offered by the Zero-G PP core.
●8LB H-CELL DECK -> A higher-end type of polyethylene deck skin, it is considered one of the strongest deck skin types available.
●CORE -> Zero-G Polypro, a type of PP (polypropylene), is BZ’s exclusive blend of polypro core materials. This specific type of core is made to float you extremely well and its also meant to be durable and water-resistant. The core is nice and stiff and this extra stiffness allows the rider to keep speed on the waves.
●STRINGER -> A skeleton for the bodyboard that helps provide control, strength, and stiffness. The BZ Pro has a single VFD stringer sitting right down the center of the board.
●BOARD TAIL -> Crescent bodyboard tail for heightened glide in the water. This tail type is designed for all wave conditions, it gives the board excellent control and performance.

Description
BZ Boards offers the rider both options of a pre-plugged board and a plug-less board. You as the buyer get to choose which way you would like to ride.
Its important to us that the rider is comfortable with the level of skill they have in bodyboarding. Whether the board is for expert-level use, or beginner we make sure each board is produced with the utmost care.
No matter the tail type, be it Bat tail or Crescent tail we look to create peek performance and rider comfort with each board.
- CRESCENT TAIL - Designed for all wave conditions. It gives the board excellent control and performance.
- BAT TAIL - Ideal for big waves with more drive and responsiveness. The Bat Tail also makes the board more explosive off the lip for huge airs.
- PRE-PLUGGED - The board comes with a plug already installed and it also includes a leash.
- PLUG-LESS - Our plug-less boards usually come with stringers inside the board so a plug has not been installed and we leave it up to the buyer to install one to attach a leash.
- CONTOUR DESIGN - Allows you to lock your elbows and legs onto the board for higher performance maneuvers.
Anatomy Of A Bodyboard
The Highest Performing Board On The Market
Bobby Szabad was one of Tom Morey’s first backyard factory workers in the very early days, as well as one of the first Morey Boogie team riders. While head of production at Morey’s Kransco plant, Bobby left to start his own company, named BZ, which is still considered to be the high-performance board on the market.
- The Core - Its the bodyboards constituent foam material. The core gives the overall shape of the board and plays a critical role in wave riding performance.
- The Deck - Its the bodyboards top skin and the material that will cushion the impact of the sports radical maneuvers.
- The Slick - Its the bodyboards bottom skin, and it should reduce the drag when the board is in contact with the surface of the water and provide flexibility.
- The Channel - Channels are canals located near the tail on the bodyboards slick. They provide extra grip on the face of the wave.
- The Rail - Its the bodyboards steering wheel and has an impact on control and speed.
- The Nose - Its the bodyboards top and has an impact on the wave riding experience.
- The Tail - Its the bodyboards wheel and provides more or less control and speed depending on their shape.
- The Stringer - Its the bodyboards skeleton and provides control, strength, and stiffness. The tube is generally made of fiberglass and is inserted into the core of the board.
BZs Bodyboard Sizing
Size is the most important element to consider when choosing a new bodyboard.
Both weight and height will also make a difference in your performance so these are important points to pay attention to when choosing a bodyboard as well. While our size chart is a good guide you can do what is called rough sizing chart references. Rough Sizing Chart Reference is when you hold out the board in front of you to measure the size, your ideal bodyboard should reach from your knees up to your chin.
Heavier riders are advised to choose a template with increased width for extra flotation and buoyancy. If a rider is generally going to be riding really small waves choose a bigger board for extra flotation. Alternatively, if youre seeking bigger waves, a smaller board will work much more effectively, youll have more of your body in the water which increases control.
Here are some simple guidelines to help you out in making a decision on what size bodyboard will be the best for you.
BODYBOARD LENGTH
Your board, when standing on its tail (the back end) should come up to roughly within an inch to either side of your belly button. If you normally ride small waves, an inch above, big waves an inch below. If you are a bigger individual that doesnt meet height standards, then youll need a board that is shorter and wider.
BODYBOARD WIDTH
You should be able to hold the board comfortably under your arm and against your side without much if any slack between your armpit and the rail. Again, the type of waves you ride may help your decision. Wide boards for smaller waves, narrower for bigger waves. Big rider? You need a wider board.
