Description

The Super Stick is used in ice hockey (goalie or skater) and figure skating to restore a lost edge or remove a burr during a game. You bring it right to the bench with you. It is used by pro (including NHL) and collegiate equipment managers, as well as youth and school coaches and equipment managers. It can also give a dulling pair of blades a little extra time between sharpenings. -- The following is taken off the packaging and instructions: -The Super Stick is the ultimate professionally made blade maintenance tool. At this time you must have your skates machine sharpened to restore your edges to 100% efficiency. As the edges dull and the efficiency is reduced, fatigue increases due to the fact that more effort is required (slippage of skate) to achieve the same result. The Super Stick allows you to restore your skate blade edge in less than 15 seconds! Deburring The Super Stick has two flats, one on the underside of each ceramic head. This can be used to stone burnish nicks or burrs out of the outer edges of the skate blade. Hold the Super Stick as shown starting at the end of the blade, drag Super Stick along side of blade. This is quicker, easier and safer than stoning. Burnishing Hold the Super Stick as shown. Position skate with blade facing up as shown. Starting at the heel, straddle the blade with the two ceramic heads. The tool is designed to allow the blade to enter the “vee” approximately ¼”, tilt the handle down so the blade just misses the handle and drag towards the toe. Be gentle. Apply approximately 3 lbs. pressure on tool. Repeat if needed.
