Description

The Oscar Schmidt OUB1 is a banjo-ukulele, also known as the banjolele. It is a four-stringed instrument with a small banjo body but is played in standard GCEA ukulele tuning. With a cast aluminum tone ring, mahogany resonator with bound backplate, and 18-fret neck, the OUB1 provides a distinctly banjo sound what projects louder than traditional ukuleles. The Oscar Schmidt Banjolele is a four stringed instrument with a small banjo type body and a fretted concert size ukulele neck that was very popular in the 20s & 30s. It features the distinctive sound of a banjo and the small scale tuning and playing style of a Ukulele. The instrument uses standard ukulele tuning of G-C-E-A.
