LARGE mode merges all HDDs capacity to make it easy to manage, but it cannot upgrade performance. In Normal mode, all HDDs work independently without forming any RAID modes.
●【Notes and details】: Please note that RAID mode requires two or more HDDs, and all files must be backed up before setting or changing the RAID mode. 4 RAID Modes for your choice:

  • RAID 0: Merge all HDDs capacity in the HDD enclosure and upgrade its performance (reading and writting speed).
  • RAID 1: Two HDDs in the HDD enclosure can backup each other, cannot upgrade its performance(reading and writing speed), and it can support self restoration function (RAID 0 modes cannot support this function), which makes files can be restored when mistaks and faults occur.
  • LARGE: Merge all HDDs capacity in the HDD enclosure to make it easy to manage but can not upgrade its performance.
  • Normal: means normal state, all HDDs in the HDD enclosure work independently without forming any RAID modes.

Note:

  1. RAID mode needs 2 or more HDDs
  2. Please backup all files before setting or changing RAID mode
  3. Please dont move HDD when its in RAID mode.
  4. Please in Normal mode before setting or changing RAID mode
  5. If you set other raid modes for the second time, you need to switch to normal mode before you can set up other raid modes. Otherwise, the product will be regarded as invalid to switch raid modes.
  6. After setting the RAID mode to be used, press and hold the RESET button, turn off the power switch and then turn it on. release the RESET button, and the setting is successful to initialize the disk.
