Kumihimo is an ancient Japanese style of braiding that uses a loom to create round or flat rope designs. Various beads can be added to the braids for unique woven designs. A handheld foam disk and bobbins are helpful to have on hand when maneuvering multiple lengths of cord. Round kumihimo disks make rounded bracelets and square kumihimo disks make flat bracelets.
