Air Filter Knowledge
Motorcycle engines need to suck in a lot of air during the working process. If the air is not filtered, the dust suspended in the air is sucked into the cylinder, which will accelerate the wear of the piston assembly and the cylinder. Dont underestimate these small dusts. They contain tiny quartz sand, which is very hard and can cause abrasive wear and damage to pistons, piston rings, and cylinders. In severe cases, cylinder pulling will occur.
The air filter is installed in front of the carburetor or the air intake pipe to filter out dust and sand particles in the air, ensuring that sufficient and clean air enters the cylinder. The air filter is a very inconspicuous component, because it is not directly related to the technical performance of the car, but in actual use, the air filter has a great impact on the service life of the engine.
