AVAILABLE LENGTHS FOR DIFFERENT PURPOSES
- Cat6 Ethernet cables of upto 2 feet length are typically used in server/network rooms for plugging between patch panels. This is not to say one cannot use them for other purposes such as connecting a Cable or DSL modem to a router/switch in the home or office.
- Cat6 Ethernet cables 3 and 4 feet length are typically used to connect a Cable or DSL modem to a router/switch in the home or office or for particularly long patch panel runs inside server/network rooms. Though you may find many uses for such a length.
- Cat6 Ethernet cables of the 5 to 14 feet length have a variety of uses. These cables will suffice for connecting routers/switches to Cable/DSL modems, computers to routers/switches or even in the server/network room for connecting ports on patch panels.
- Cat6 Ethernet cables of the from 20 to 200 foot length have a variety of uses and offers plenty of length to help with longer-distance projects that require a greater reach. These cables will provide a greater reach for those situations that require more serious distances. These Ethernet Cables are great for the home office or any other environment.
