Operation Steps
The first method:
Step 1: Set up - Print test patterns to test which colors needed cleaning. Select “ Replace Ink Cartridge”, remove ink cartridges and unplug the power cable.
Step 2: Place thick blotter paper(not included) under print head track to prevent ink from leaking on the circuit board. Place the carriage unit over center of blotting paper.
Step 3: Attach the adapter or silicone tube to the syringe, removed the plunger from the syringe and aspirate 5ml of the cleaning solution to the syringe at a time and insert it into the print head. Wait about one hour, slowly letting it rinse out the ink residue and blockages. Repeating step 3-5 times.
Step 4: Push the carriage unit back to the right side of the printer, remove the blotter paper and clean up the residual cleaning fluid inside.
Step 5: Plug in printer, run 2 printer cleaning cycles to wash out any cleaning solution the printer, and install the cartridges. And then print the "Printer Test Page" to confirm if the print head worked well.
The second method:
If the printer head is clogged seriously, you can remove it into a container and rinse or soak in cleaning solution which should be less than 3mm and wait for 48 hours. After soaking, dry the printer head with a hair dryer until full drying. Then, repeat the above Step 5.
Special Reminder:
1.Please unplug the power supply first to prevent short circuit damage to the printer.
2.Do not add water or other water-related during the use of the cleaning solution.
3.If the hose is too tight to connect onto the syringe, please soak it in hot water for 1 min to make it soft.
4.If the nozzle is blocked seriously, you can repeat the steps to clean it several times, but do not clean too often in a short time of period.
5.Clean the area and make sure everything is dry.
6.Please allow 24 hours to dry before powering the printer on.
7.Print a print quality report to verify all colors have returned.
