HOW TO PREVENT PAINT BLEED

  • In order to prevent paint bleeding please use less paint. Your paint brush/sponge or roller should be almost dry. Offload any excess paint onto a tissue before beginning to stencil.
  • Chalk paint and Acrylic Paints work very well for stencilling
  • Use a smaller stencil brush for delicate design openings in stencils. Use bigger brush for bigger design openings.
  • Paint with a light hand and do multiple coats slowly building up the color
  • Use reposition-able adhesive spray or painters tape to secure stencil in place.
