Description

THIS IS A PLATE BLOCK OF 4 STAMPS AS PICTURED. ~ On November 16, 1962 in Washington DC; this reprint of the Dag Hammarskjold #1203 stamps was issued, it is the same stamp as #1203, except on this stamp the yellow was inverted during the printing process. It has been called the Day’s Folly (Postmaster General J. Edward Day) who after being informed of the error ordered the intentional printing of more stamps with the error as to prevent people from profiting from the Post Office Department mistake. The catalog value is worth very little more than normal.
