Since the kit includes 2 sharp, barbed, felting needles, recommended age is 10 and up. Younger children have been very successful with needle felting but of course adult supervision is highly recommended for anyone under the age of 13. Kit includes camel, butterscotch, chocolate, candy, and white wool roving, 2 new felting needles, beads for eyes, a skewer, 4x4x1.5 inch foam pad and detailed photo instructions. You will need a sewing needle and thread and a ruler.
