Step 1: Measure with Our Easy-to-Use Template

Precisely measure the optimum height of your new dog door by marking your pets shoulder height on the door. Then trace the outline that matches the size of your door using the provided template.

Step 2: Drill Out All Four Corners

Remove the door and drill out a hole, large enough to fit a jigsaw blade through, in each of the four corners. Drilling out each corner allows for a safer and more accurate process when making the door-sized cutout.

Step 3: Use a Jigsaw to Cut Along the Lines

Place the blade of the saw through one of your corner holes then slowly follow the line to the next hole. Repeat until you reach the starting hole giving you the perfect cutout for your dogs new door.

Step 4: Insert the eXtreme Dog Door

Slide the aluminum frame into the cutout and secure it in place with the heavy-duty metal screws. Once the door is installed your dog can explore on their own, and you can relax knowing your home is secure.
