Description

Finally, an easy and affordable way to put the perfect bevel on your files AND take care of sharp fret ends! This is a two-piece set of beautiful, distinctive and extremely useful tools for finishing off your fret jobs on guitars, basses, banjos and other fretted instruments. The bevel file tool will give your fret ends a uniform 35-degree bevel, giving them that professional finished look and (with proper additional smoothing & polishing) make them much easier on the players hands. The 90 degree file is designed to quickly and easily take care of sharp fret ends, whether right after installation, or taming sharp ends that can develop over time due to humidity changes. This right-angle file tool can also be used for other woodworking purposes, any time you need to file an overhanging ridge down flush with another surface. You can also use it for quick-rounding of sharp corners. The length of both tools tool and file is 7 3/4", perfect for finishing fret ends on larger instruments. The bevel file is set at a 35-degree angle file while the end file is set at 90-degree angle. Both are held in place by two hex-head set screws, so they can be easily flipped or replaced if necessary. All edges are carefully rounded for user comfort, and rounded grooves are routed into the sides to help with grip. The edges of the files are also partially rounded and smoothed to help prevent marring. Both of these files are handcrafted domestically right here at C. B. Gitty Crafter Supply in New Hampshire, USA.
