A useful tool that has a heavy metal blade. The plastic D shaped handle is riveted to the main wood shaft to be comfortable and lighter weight than a steel handle as well as being warmer to the touch. Far end of the wood handle has a metal sleeve over the wood for added strength. A 3/8 inch steel shaft is welded on the blade and extends into the handle held in place by a rivet. Blade end is beveled and can be sharpened as needed.
