Description

Polaris Black ISR-250 in-line connector is designed for connecting 2 wires. The connector provided quick and easy installation of splices and taps while offering outstanding protection against the elements. The connector is dual-rated for use with cooper and/or aluminum Class B or C wires of 250 MCM-6 American Wire Gauge (AWG) and is rated for 600 volts. Traditional split bolts and other splice and tap connectors can be difficult and time-consuming to install and service. Polaris pre-insulated electrical connectors eliminate the need for extra tools and insulating tape, with only a hex key (5/16-inch) and torque wrench needed for installation. The Polaris smooth exterior finish and ergonomic design provide a secure, comfortable grip while applying maximum torque. The ISR-250 connector feature high quality aluminum alloy construction for premium performance and is abrasion and chemical resistant. The insulated product is pre-filled with oxide inhibitor to prevent corrosion and provide a low-contact resistance connection. The black insulation provides exceptional UV protection. The connector comes with removable access plugs that cover unused entry ports and 5/16-inch hex screws, which hold the wires in place in the block. Its not recommended for use with fine-stranded, extra-flexible wire (see Polaris Grey series). Polaris multi-tap insulated connectors are available in numerous configurations, across a wide array of wire gauges and wire ports, to satisfy every project need. Setting the benchmark for insulated multi-tap connectors, the Polaris name has signified innovation, quality and reliability since the introduction of our first connector over 30 years ago. Ever since, Polaris has helped contractors and electricians get on and off the job quickly and safely while also saving them time and money. Polaris is still the preferred and trusted brand asked for by name.
