MATER DISCONNECT SWITCH is a single pole , single throw. Protects against electrical fires, tampering and theft. Heavy duty design for 6-12 V.D.C. applications. 175 Amp continuous, 1000A intermittent (15 asec On, 5 min off). Solid brass or copper stud terminals. For use with alternator or generator. Disconnects battery circuit only, not alternator or generator field circuit. When used with an alternator, stop engine(s) before switching to "off" position to prevent possible alternator diode damage. Two positions: off and on. 6 to 12 volt. Brass case. Chrome plated die cast lever. Two 3/8 diameter stud terminal. Brass mounting stem 3/4 in diameter, 1 13/32 long. Fits panels up through 15/16 thick.
