When designing a single coil glow plug, an engineer can choose to optimize for maximum glow plug life, or best starting - but either characteristic is optimized at the expense of the other. Dual coil glow plugs allow for both ends of the spectrum in one plug.

how to replace new glow plug!
- Step 1: Disconnect the battery cable.
- Step 2: Remove the valve cover (if applicable).
- Step 3: Locate the glow plugs.
- Step 4: Disconnect the power supply to the glow plugs.
- Step 5: Remove the glow plug.
- Step 6: Prepare to install the new glow plug.
- Step 7: Install the new glow plugs.
- Step 8: Attach the power supply.
- Step 9: Replace the valve covers.
- Step 10: Connect the negative battery cable.
