This is an excellent quality 100% natural Eco-friendly organic Tussah silk (also spelled Tussar silk) sliver, approx 15cm (6in) staple length. With Tussah silk you can:
?Add it to your felting projects for extra sheen and strength; can be used as felt laminate - laminated felt is the term used to describe the process of encasing a layer of woven fabric between two layers of fiber. This enables a felter to use fewer layers of wool while producing a strong but fine felt fabric.
?Use it for spinning with wool, alpaca, cashmere and other fibers in different proportion; it’s easier to handle and spin than mulberry silk because of higher micron;
?Add a silky feel to your soaps - create the most luxurious bars by dissolving small amounts of silk (cut the fiber into smaller pieces) with your lye water, also makes your bars harder and last longer;
?Blending/carding roving with other fibres;
?Use it for paper making;
?Make fine dolls hair.
