In this kit, you will find everything you need to learn the basics of traditional sashiko mending, practice your technique, and quickly start working on your own projects.
Sashiko (“little stabs”) is the Japanese art of repairing fabrics by sewing geometric patterns onto them. Sashiko can now be seen on catwalks across the world. Though sashiko is traditionally made by stitching white or red thread onto indigo-dyed fabric, the technique can be used on any fabric, in any colour and pattern!

How did you come up with the idea for this product?
We wanted everyone to be able to create something useful and beautiful with their own hands. There is just something so satisfying about watching something you crafted come to life whenever you use it, especially in an increasingly digital world. With a focus on mindfulness and creativity, we hope to help people reconnect with their inner artisan, and to have something to show for it!
What makes your product special?
Our products aim to harness creativity into a healthy, relaxing outlet. Our kits all contain reusable tools and aim to teach techniques that can be adapted to your ideas. With simple goals and an end result you can actually use, we hope to build your confidence in your skill and ease you into starting your own projects.
