What are the ingredients in the Leather Waterproofer?
We believe in simple ingredients so you can rest assured that our products are all natural. Our Waterproofer is made of US sourced cold pressed castor oil with vitamin E, Beeswax, and Lanolin
How often do I need to waterproof my gloves and boots?
For the most water repellent surface reapply the Leather Waterproofer before each adventure. This will ensure the leather repels the water on the outside and keeps you warm and dry on the inside.
How do I apply the Leather Waterproofer?
The Leather Waterproofer can be applied directly to the leather surface using the tube. Use a dauber brush or your fingers to spread the waterproofer and ensure that all surface are lightly and evenly coated. Wipe off any excess.
My leather has stopped repelling water, what should I do?
We use all natural ingredients in all of our products. These ingredients are carefully chosen to provide the best results possible. They may not always be as long lasting as their chemical counterparts and will need to be applied more frequently.
Do I need to clean my boots before I add more waterproofing?
Yes, it is a good idea to clean your boots first. The pores of the leather may be full of dirt and grime which will prevent the waterproofer from penetrating deep into the leather. Try our Leather Cleaner or Saddle Soap before applying Waterproofer.
For best results use Leather Cleaner or Saddle Soap to remove dirt and contaminants. Then apply leather oil and conditioner to soften and hydrate. Next, apply Waterproofer directly to leather using a brush or cloth and massage into leather. Wipe away excess. Color will lighten as Waterproofer penetrates over the next 12-24hrs. Reapply as needed to help keep your leather smooth, supple, and Rhino Tuff.
