Ventilation in your RV is pretty important, which is why its a good idea to keep an effective roof fan in working condition. This means maintaining the vent and the vent lid so that it keeps working well even after years of use. Part of maintaining the lid is keeping the seal intact. The seal on your roof vent lid keeps the water out of your RV. As with anything that you add to your RVs exterior, a proper seal is vital to long life, both for the product and for the RV itself. Water damage is something that might not look like a big deal but can cause a chain reaction of damage that you then have to fix later on. If your vent lid seal is cracked or damaged, its best to replace it as soon as possible with a vinyl seal replacement.

This seal replacement measures 5/8" by 1/8" and is 51" long. By installing this seal between the dome and the base, it keeps water from entering while the vent lid is closed.
