The Spear and Jackson neverbend stainless steel trowel is tanged (cranked or swan necked piece of metal which joins the blade to the handle) to reduce the chance of scraping the knuckles on the ground or hitting them on the trowel blade. The blade is made from mirror polished stainless steel which offers protection against rust and minimal soil adhesion, allowing the blade to slip easily into the soil and making for easier cleaning. The hardwood handle has been weatherproofed to extend the life of the trowel.
