Description

A complete range of elastic, anti-thrombosis knee-highs and stockings specifically designed for thrombosis and embolism prophylaxis, for clinical and hospital use before, during and after surgery.

Blood is returned to the heart by 4 "pumps": the plantar, muscular, diaphragmatic and cardiac plants. When one or more of these pumps isnt working properly, venous blood starts to pool in the legs, causing a significant drop in circulation speed and a heightened risk of venous thrombosis, which could lead to thromboembolic episodes. If venous circulation is already compromised by the presence of varicose veins, the risk of thrombosis increases significantly. This explains why thromboembolism is the third most common cause of cardiovascular mortality, after infarction and stroke.

Even in the absence of varicose veins, thromboembolism occurs due to a sedentary lifestyle linked to pregnancy, convalescence due to fractured limbs or surgery, or prolonged hospitalisation. RelaxSan Medicale Antiembolism is the ideal coadjuvant for prophylaxis against thromboembolic risk as it pre-emptively administers 18-23 mmHg or 25-32 mmHg, before continuing with a customised dosage of RelaxSan Medicale Classic, Soft or Cotton.

Anti-thrombosis stockings are normally prescribed by specialised physicians.

Anti-Embolism AE20 - 18-23 mmHg provides medium compression, used for venous disease prophylaxis in patients at risk, for the treatment of heavy and tired legs, the appearance of varicose veins during pregnancy, prophylaxis for thrombosis and embolisms.

Compression acts on the ankle and gradually decreases to 70% at the calf and 40% at the thigh, thus guaranteeing correct blood circulation.

THIS PRODUCT IS IDEAL FOR CONVALESCENCE AND PERIODS OF IMMOBILITY, it is not suitable for everyday use.

RECOMMENDATIONS

RelaxSan compression stockings are best worn in the morning, before getting out of bed, when legs are not yet swollen and are well-rested. Remove rings or other jewellery from your hands before putting on any items to prevent damaging them.

CONTRAINDICATIONS

Product use is not recommended during night rest, for those affected by dermatitis with secretions and with allergies to materials used in production.
