Feature

●Scraper burnishers are primarily employed for the maintenance of scraper edges. Cabinet scrapers and card scrapers are versatile cutting tools used for smoothing wood surfaces, removing imperfections, and creating finely finished surfaces. Over time, the edge of a scraper can become dull or damaged, requiring regular maintenance to keep it sharp.
●The dual-handle design, made from beech wood and reinforced with a steel file, enables you to exert greater and more stable pressure on the scraper edge, facilitating the creation of a burr.
●This Scraper Burnisher is constructed from chrome molybdenum steel that is heat-treated to HRC 61. It features a total length of approximately 11-1/2 inches, with a steel rod diameter measuring approximately 3/8". The working length of the exposed rod is 3-1/16".
●Place the burnisher rod against the edge of the scraper at a consistent angle, typically around 5-10 degrees from perpendicular, and apply even pressure to the burnisher while maintaining the angle. Repeat this rolling motion several times until you can feel a raised burr along the entire edge.
●After use, store the Scraper Burnisher in a dry, cool place to prevent rust or corrosion. You can also apply a light coat of oil to the steel rod to provide additional protection against moisture.
