Calibration+Release

How to calibrate:

1. Place stud finder on the wall(where no stud under the wall) to calibrate, PRESS and RELEASE the side button，waiting about 2 secs until the device finishes calibrating.

2. Without PRESSING the side button or removing the device from the wall, move the device slowly over the area in which you wish to detect the studs.

Choose the Mode

Press ON/OFF button to open the stud finder,and choose one mode that desired

Calibration the Tool Correctly Before Every Scan

After choose the mode, press and hold the scan button( on the side of the tool) to calibrate this tool. Wait for the reducing bars disappeared and beep to confirm calibration has completed.

Note: In AC/Metal mode, put it in the air to calibrate it;

In stud/deep mode, put it on the wall where you want to detect to calibrate it

Scan on the Wall

Move the stud finder along the wall slowly,but note that if shake or lift the scanner accidentally, the device needs to be re-calibrated.

The narrow on the screen together with the beep signal alter, guides you to find the location of the AC wires

Find the Location of the AC Wire

When the signal bar is full and the beep alarm is loudest, it means you have found the center of an object.Mark it with your pencil.

Then choose the Metal Scan to test whether it is a metal. After you confirm that it is not a metal, it means that you found the center of a stud

Our stud finder is equipped with the UPGRADED INTERNAL SENSORS. It senses a change in density in the space behind the wall and locates the stud center with GREAT ACCURACY. It has the big improvement of the inter sensors, and the performance of this stud detector is excellent, finding the studs

quickly, accurately, and repeatedly.

This tool must be calibrated prior to use every time. Choose a portion of the wall where no stud or wiring should exist. You may need to knock on the wall from left to right to discern a hollow sound where gaps likely exist between studs. Place the tool flat against the wall at this gap location, press the button on the left side of the tool and hold the device steady until you hear a short tone (beep) indicating calibration is complete. This takes only a few seconds and during calibration you’ll see the displayed bars reduce followed by a brief tone. (If scans fail to locate studs, try another calibration at a different area of the wall where a stud should not be present.)
