For Harman Pellet Stove Igniter For All Models 306W, 3-20-677200
  1. The igniter is located in the burnpot and is accessible from the front through the clean-out door that is secured by the wing nuts. Loosen the wing nuts to remove the cover and access this area.
  2. The igniter is accessed and changed through the front of the stove but some access will be needed to the rear of the stove to loosen the wiring
  3. From the rear, locate the yellow and light blue wires for the igniter at the point where they pass through the stove, it is directly under the auger. There is an extra length of these wires looped together and secured to the stove that needs to be freed up so that the igniter wire disconnects can be pulled forward removed from the front of the stove. When you have enough wire free, push about 12" of length of the yellow and light blue wires into the cavity of the the stove where they enter to run towards the igniter.
  4. From the front of the stove again, remove the two 5/16" or 8mm screws that hold the igniter cradle inside the burnpot. Do not loose these screws as you will need them again.
  5. Drop the igniter assembly down and pull it forward until you can see the wire disconnects, then disconnect the wires from the harness and remove the whole assembly.
  6. To remove the igniter from the cradle, twist the the two tabs that secure the cradle and the igniter. Your igniter will now be able to be removed. Replace the igniter with your new one, making sure the wires go to the right. Reattach the cradle plate to secure the new igniter, twist the tabs and reinstall the cradle using the two 5/16" or 8mm mounting screws.
  7. Pull your wire length back through the stove until the disconnects rear the passthrough. Secure your extra length of wire with a zip tie.
  8. Replace the clean-out cover on the burnpot and start up your stove with the new igniter.
