Ravenox provides the most sustainable colored cordage in the industry. We manufacture ropes from low-impact high-value upcycled cotton yarns for all types of fashion, accessory, and home textile products.
Yarns used in Ravenox Cotton Rope are Dye-Free. No dyes are used to match colors with Ravenox cotton fibers. No water is used, and no chemical products are used.
These yarns are twisted and braided into our cotton twines and ropes to produce some of the most vibrant colored cotton ropes available. Ravenox colored cotton ropes are great for arts and crafts too, but are also used for dog toys, horse leads, interior design, visual display, dog leashes, macrame, tug of war rope, bird toys, and so much more. Single strand and triple strand ropes and twines are all twisted together with Recover yarn to produce some of the most beautiful projects you can imagine. As with all Ravenox cotton ropes and twines they can be customized with any three colors available.
Ravenox Genuine Cotton Rope is made in the USA on twisting machines that were also made right here in the USA - these machines have been making rope for over 115 years!
Our high quality cotton rope is easy to tie in knots and splice making it one of the most versatile materials for do-it-yourself projects, outdoorsmen, arts and crafts and everyday use. Made from the softest of natural fibers, our cotton rope avoids the discomfort caused by other types of rope. Perfect for anything from horse leads to hammocks, our rope adds a personal touch to any project.
USDA Biopreferred Program Champions
Ravenox cotton ropes are tested by the USDA and are a 100% biobased product. We are Champions of the USDA program, signifying our long-term commitment to using renewable materials, reducing our reliance on petroleum, supporting the bioeconomy, and bettering the planet.
Ropes and cords from Ravenox are contributing to an ever-expanding marketplace that adds value to renewable agriculture commodities, creates jobs in rural communities, and decreases our reliance on petroleum.
Ravenox cotton rope is tested by the Seal of Cotton for its authentic and iconic fiber content.
You expect your rope to be made responsibly and were committed to that end. Ravenox cotton ropes are natural and renewable. When it’s composted as disposal, cotton rope breaks down more readily than synthetic ropes in the environment.
As cotton technologies evolve, they create opportunities to make cotton production, manufacturing and disposal less burdensome on the earth. In just the past few decades, U.S. cotton growers have made significant reductions in water use, land use and soil loss.
Our cotton ropes are made from durable, long-lasting fibers. They stay strong after years of use, which is why people continually look to Ravenox and the Seal of Cotton when they need a rope they can count on, from butchers twine to interior design.

**The safe working load for most kinds of rope is between 15% and 25% of the tensile strength depending upon application.
Ravenox USA-Made Twisted Cotton Rope is available in 8 different diameter options. From 1/8" twine for cooking to 1" rope for a game of Tug-of-War, we make it all.
Please be aware that while our three-strand cotton rope is true to diameter on the spools, fibers may expand when the rope is cut to length and shipped. Some ropes may increase almost a whole size in diameter. If your application is dependent on a certain diameter, please consider ordering a smaller size than is needed.
Farmers, Ranchers and Gardeners need to use cotton twine in the production and storage of their harvests and for livestock use. Ravenox Food-grade twine is made in both single-strand and triple strand and is perfect for trellising climbing plants, tying plants to a support, hanging plants in a greenhouse, bundling together fresh cut flowers or veggies, hanging cut herbs and Kokedama string gardens.
Cooks and chefs should only use 100% cotton twine as butchers twine in their cooking and baking needs. Using other fibers could melt and release potential toxins into meats, poultry, fish and other food products.
