Notice:
1. Be sure to install vertically, otherwise fluid may flow out and affect measurement accuracy and service life. 2. When measuring corrosive media, an isolation device must be installed. 3. Avoid contact with fire sources. 4. Do not use on oxygen service. 5. The product contains lead and is not permitted under U.S. law to be installed in potable water related facilities. 6. What is the operating temperature range? At what temperature will the liquid compound freeze?
The gauge is filled with silicone oil which can work in low temperature from -40℉ to 140℉(-40℃~60℃).
The instructions say to clip the tip off after installation. If you do this the oil will leak out !! Why clip the tip?
Liquid filled pressure gauges are specifically designed for severe service applications. When immersed in oil, all moving parts of the pressure gauge are lubricated and dampened from the harmful effects of vibration and pulsation. All pressure gauges sealed for the purpose of liquid-filling have a device to assure atmospheric compensation. To correctly vent the solid rubber fill plugs, simply cut off the tip of the plug which will open a small hole through so the gauge can vent. Only for mounting the gauge in a upright position. IMPORTANT - The solid rubber type plugs do not allow for closing of the vent for use of the gauge in a non-upright position.
