Our purple teak is superior to coral wood in both wood and shape. The only drawback is the high tannin content. However, it can be removed as long as it is treated according to the instruction manual. Because we did a lot of experiments.
The operation instructions are as follows:
1. Cover the wood with water, add soda and salt to boil, and turn off the heat for 5-10 minutes after the water boils. After the water temperature drops to normal temperature. The new water continues the above operation, and the general cycle is 5 times. Occasionally a small amount of wood is needed 8 times. The pre-treatment work is tedious and requires patience.
2. After boiling for 5 times. Soak in clean water, need to change the water several times during soaking. Generally, tannins can be removed in a week.
3. When the wood is first put into the water, it is black, indicating that the tannin of the wood is not completely released, and the wood that is completely released into the water is red.
