Should I oil ceramic bearings?
Full ceramic bearings can be run completely dry.
They do not need lubrication to run.
Ceramic is non-porous, unlike steel, as a result it is virtually frictionless.
Because there is no heat buildup and virtually no friction,
full ceramic bearings can be run completely dry.

What are the advantages of ceramic balls?
1.Since ceramics are hardly corrosive,
ceramic rolling bearings are suitable for operation under harsh conditions filled with corrosive media.
2.Since the density of the ceramic rolling ball is lower than that of the steel, the weight is much lighter,
so the centrifugal effect of the outer ring can be reduced by 40% when rotating, and the service life is greatly extended.
3.Since the modulus of elasticity of ceramic is higher than that of steel,
it is not easily deformed when subjected to force,
so it is advantageous to increase the working speed and achieve higher precision.

Why Upgrading Berings?
Fishing reels have developed over the years to become lighter, stronger, smoother and more reliable.
Bearings play a large part in this development.
Better steel, closer tolerances, more effective lubricants and automated assembly mean that high precision fishing reel bearings are more affordable than ever.
Most reels use ball bearings from one or two bearings to over ten in the spools, worm gears and handles of high-end reels.
